I can't believe I'm uploading a picture of our giant mugs for you to practice on, but hey - when in Rome, right?
Photoshop has a ton of capabilities - and I mean, a ton. And one of those is face manipulation. It's meant to be used for subtle fixes - this issue arises when people use these tips to morph themselves into someone different.
When it comes to editing faces in Photoshop, less is more. The more subtle, minor the change, the better the resulting product. So - keep your brushes light and your edits minimal. We are just going to use some tools to straighten out our smiles, remove some wrinkles and freckles, and clear up some distracting elements in the background of this image.
Note - Photoshop is a paid app through Adobe's Creative Cloud (monthly subscription). But there's good news! Photoshop is included in Creative Cloud's small plan that gets you both Lightroom and Photoshop for a cheaper price than the full Creative Cloud subscription. Adobe also offers a student discount, so if you've got a college student living under your roof, have them sign up for you! Creative Cloud can also be accessed from two computers so both you and your college student can use the apps at the same time.
The links to purchase a Create Cloud plan is at the beginning of this course.
Note - this was filmed on a Windows 10 computer with Adobe Creative Cloud's Photoshop version 22.4.1.
